Friday 6 September 2019 - Lakka

It was a bit swelly overnight, but we slept quite well.  The threatened rain never came.  Had breakfast in the cockpit.  We gave up on trying to find a place on the wall.  It looks solid.  We took the dinghy over to the town for lunch.  When there it was clear that most of the spaces on the wall were reserved for flotillas with staff there to show them in.  Anyway we finally used the dinghy.  First time this entire year!

Had a nice lunch of fried red mullets and a walk around the town.  Driving here is weird large vans and SUV’s were going along the front with only inches away from the water. I kept wondering how many people miscalculate and wind up with a tyre over the sea wall.

We are still suffering from the non-working water heater.  So we decided to phone Cleopatra marina at Preveza and see if they have a plumber who can help.  They say they should be able to find someone on Monday so we have made reservations for a berth from Sunday night until Tuesday in the hope they can fit a non-return valve.  Also the manufacturer has sent us a photo of the old heater (we sent him) which proves that it was installed the other way up.  Richard is still not  convinced the water heated up on the engine coming here.

Anyway a quiet afternoon on the boat, swimming and watching the comings and goings.  Tomorrow we shall go to Two Rock Bay, which we like. It is halfway to Preveza.
